Reading a sealed price

A sealed price moves for a different reason than a single does. A card is worth what the card is worth; a box is worth whatever people think is still inside it, which means a box price falls while the set is in print and starts climbing once it is not. That is why a two year old box can cost more than the same box did on release week, and why buying at release is usually the worst moment.

Where a product has a known card list, open it and the page works out whether the cards are worth more than the box. That only works when the contents are a fixed list rather than a pull rate, so it covers promo collections and the products built around them, not booster boxes.
